Socionomutbildningarna och socialt arbete
Abstract
The main aim for the NSHU network has been to create a platform and an infrastructure for all social work programs and courses at a national level for all three educational levels of the Bologna process. Social work, being a very young research discipline, has to establish this common platform for social work as a research and educational subject. Up till now there have been separate meetings for the social-work educational programs and for the research and education of doctoral students. Once this structure has been established organised work can commence in order to facilitate for student mobility geographically, and hierarchically - between different levels of the educational system. Representatives of all 13 institutions for social work education in Sweden have participated in three common meetings to accomplish this common conference system. The results of this network are that a common conference system has been established with a first national meeting taking place in April 2008 in Jönköping. Two research reports have been initiated and completed during the development period that aim to serve as a knowledge base and impetus for future cooperation and easier student mobility systems between the universities. The reports have clarified common traits and differences between the programs in the first year of study, and in the area of professional fieldwork training. These reports will be printed and disseminated in time for the April-conference, and will be published at the website of the School of Social work at Lund University with links to all the associated universities.
