Bärbar - ett hållbart tygkassekoncept

Abstract
Portable is a project with its starting point in plastic bags, how they negatively affect our planet and how people´s patterns of behavior and qualities of life are affected when people try to live more envi¬ronmentally friendly. Now we have reached the point when peoples way of living and consuming in the western world has to change. This is nothing new and we can now see that sustainability is start¬ing to get attention in every area. Today plastic bags are used on average for 12 minutes. Only one out of 200 is reused, and then only once . This is not sustainable at all. It is not possible to mass consume as we do today and one way to change this is to replace the products that are used only once with products that can be reused over and over again. When famous fashion companies such as Yves Saint Laurent start to sell textile bags, the product achieves a higher status and be¬comes a fashion accessory that is used by people in all ages and social classes in the society today. Portable is a textile bag concept which updates and brings the tex¬tile bag in line with consumer needs and how we use them today, in order to make more people use textile bags instead of mass con¬suming plastic bags.
