EN KONSTRUERAD SITUATION – I EN FORTSATT TANKEPROCESS KRING KÖN OCH SEXUALITET

Abstract
ABSTRACT The purpose of this essay is to investigate possible questions generated by the performance/installation Har hon inget vettigare att göra? Du då. Har du inget annat att hitta på än att stå och glo på henne? by the artist Elin Wikström. The Constructed Situation invites the spectator to be a part of a continuing process of thought. The subjective feeling makes an important insight to the work through methods of the aesthetics and the performative., mainly from Margaretha Rossholm Lagerlöf. The theories chosen lies in gender and queer perspectives, to be more specific Erotik Capital by Catherine Hakim and theories about the Gaze and the Spectator by Mary Ann Doane. By the first instinctive aesthetic reaction four main traces are found. In which the most important part of the study is: The Naked Body and The Reading and Litterature. Sources contains Lynda Nead, The Female Nude and Virginia Wolf, A Room of ones Own among others. Keywords: performance, sexuality, naked, artwork, gaze
