General: Strategies of Magic is a lecture performance which discusses the concept of magic in relation to political and philosophical questions regarding power structures, hierarchies of knowledge, identity and gender. Here, the lecture is intertwined with poetry, music and magic where the purpose is to reveal rather than disguise the trick. Through the examination of the difference between trickery and transformation, this piece aims to bring out the human potential of making the impossible possible. Strategies of Magic #1: On this occasion, the lecture, poetry and magic tricks performed by me were accompanied by live music composed and performed by Cecilie Beck Kronborg on a large number of more or less unconventional instruments. This performance had two acts of 30 minutes each with a pause in between.
