Beskrivning av projektet
Gardening has fulfilled different purposes in different cultures, beyond food production – Gardens incorporate links to many fields such as land art, design and architecture, as well as methodology for growing, maintaining and harvesting, which are metaphors for all activity. This course has given students the opportunity to study and reflect on “the garden” as a place and as a philosophical base, as well as to develop a project.
The class is looking at the broader concept of growing a garden. They are emerging themselves into the research on history of gardening in Bangalore. Working around N3 campus, the project is at its ideating stage. Students will be working in groups and presenting innovative ideas involving vertical gardens, structures, benches, pathways, compost fertilizers and different types of plants.
Meanwhile the students are clearing out the space and leveling it.
