In Colombia, specifically in the city of Medellín a jargon of the Spanish language denominated parlache was originated, which not only consists of a great number of words many of them difficult to understand, but also it is the central part of our study. The selection, classification and comparison of words were the methods used in this work which facilitated the lexicological and social characterization of parlache. The examples of words were taken from the film of the Colombian film director Victor Gaviria, denominated The Saleswoman of Roses. This film was chosen because it uses words pertaining to this linguistic variable and spoken by natural actors, who reflect in certain way the social situation of the Colombian low class. As a result from this sociolinguistic study, it was found that some of the words used in the film belong to the standard Spanish but with semantic changes, and/or grammar changes, whereas few others words were taken from other languages like English and Portuguese. Additionally the meaning of the words from the film in parlache was compared with the meaning of the DRAE, giving as a result a minimum of registered words, which makes parlache a language little recognized.sv
