The aim of this essay is to show the temporal discrepancies of the two narrative voices of the novel The rabbit house, by Laura Alcoba. We are focused on the term of autofiction and the theories about the memory's representation, analyzing how the novel reconstructs the past memories in present time. To do this, we select eight fragments of the novel, four which show the child's voice and four that present the adult's voice, both represent Laura's voice. Her memory presents a historical period (Argentina’s military dictatorship) and because of this it is important to remember the term of historical and social memory. We conclude that the main character and the narrator of this story is identified with the author. Moreover, using the autofiction the author combines reality and fiction and in that way it becomes a novel and not an autobiography.sv
