Gud och människa - Gudsbild och människosyn i två barnbiblar
God and Man - Images of God and anthropolgy in two Bibles for children
Abstract
The thesis/dissertation intends to examine how God and man are portrayed in two (different) children’s bibles. This is then analyzed with a narratological framework. The empirical material is based on Bibel för barn (1995) and En vän från himlen (2013) were as the first is the most wellknown
and the latter is one of the most recently published children’s bibles. Since they are both an interpretation of the Bibel 2000 this to will be included in the analysis to emphasize the transformation of the text. In order to analyze the material a few different characters have been included and these are based on the story of the birth of Jesus along with the story of Abraham and
Sara. The analysis is partially based on the specifics of the characters and fabulor where the aim is to compare them. This concludes in a discussion regarding both stories. The results reveal the
differences among the children’s bibles as well as the differences between Bibel 2000 and them. En vän från Himlen (2013) differentiates itself by its round characters ”round”, which is applicable to
the esthetics of both man and God.
