Teologiska perspektiv på ekonomisk globalisering - en jämförande analys av två teologers syn på globalisering, liberal marknadsekonomi och kapitalism i förhållande till kristen etik

Abstract
This thesis analyzes some moral questions with regard to the global market capitalism of our day, from the perspective of political theology. It is presenting the theological and ethical thinking of american theologians William Cavanaugh and Brent Waters, focusing on economic globalization and capitalism more broadly, raising questions about how to best alleviate poverty on a global scale, whether market exchange is free concerning working conditions and consumption patterns, and what all this makes of the political role of the churches. My aim is to show how Cavanaughs more critical assessment, and Waters positive account of the free market, are complementing and challenging each other; both authors contribute with important insights on how we might think of, and act in relation to economic globalization in a constructive way.
