This project begins with a fascina4on for the water surface. How do you catch something that is constantly changing? Through waves and water, I have been looking for ways to describe mo4on. What is the essence of the experience of water? There are a lot of different answers. How the water surface appears is a consequence of underlying currents, the wind, the light and the landscape that reflects on it. I think of it as a carrier of informa4on that I want to get access to. It tells the story of something beyond what you can see. Something that has to do with infinity and 4me. The work consists of large and small papers that I painted, folded and cut. Each cut with the scissors is doubled and mirrored in different forma4ons so that it forms paIerns. It’s a balance between what is lost and what remains.sv
