dc.description.abstract | The scope of this paper is the interpretation of Henryk Mikołaj Górecki's Lobgesang op. 76. Lobgesang is not often performed and there is not much information about it. This has given me the opportunity to not be influenced so much by others and to therefore make the interpretation strictly my own. In the first chapter of my work I present Henryk Mikołaj Górecki's life, his musical background and his character as a private person, as well as a composer. Later on I analyse and present my personal, metaphorical interpretation of his work. In order to compliment my work I made three recordings of Lobgesang with two different ensembles. In the final two chapters on my work I describe and discuss each of these. | sv |
