| dc.description | Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the application and accessibility of Real Ear Measurement (REM) within the County Council of Västra Götaland (VGR).
Research Method: The study was carried out by e-mailing an online-based questionnaire to operation managers of every audiology clinic within VGR with a request to communicate the questionnaire to clinical audiologists. Out of the region's 201 clinical audiologists, and after excluding responses due to the exclusion criteria, 71 (35%) respondents were included in the study.
Results: The results showed that 16 % of the participants did not perform Real Ear Measurement (REM) and that on average 64 % performed 1 or more REM:s per week. The respondent’s perceived access to equipment for performing REM varied between the VGRs audiology clinics.
Conclusion: The REM were performed more often within VGR than compared to previous studies. However, this study also showed that there are differences in usage of REM between clinics in VGR. Though, some of the results in this essay should be interpreted with caution as the design of the survey did not allow for deeper statistical analyzes. | sv |
| dc.description.abstract | Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka användandet och tillgänglighet av hörselgångsmätning inom Hörselverksamheten i Västra Götalandsregionen.
Forskningsmetod: Studien utfördes genom att en onlinebaserad enkät mailades ut till samtliga audionommottagningar inom Västra Götalandsregionen (VGR). Av regionens 201 arbetsverksamma audionomer, samt efter att bortfall utifrån exklusionskriterier hade räknats ut, kvarstod 71 (35 %) deltagare.
Resultat: Resultatet visade att 16 % av deltagarna inte utförde hörselgångsmätning och att 64 % i genomsnitt utför 1 eller fler hörselgångsmätningar per vecka. När det gällde deltagarnas upplevda tillgång till utrustning för att utföra hörselgångsmätning, skilde det sig åt mellan audionommottagningarna.
Konklusion: Användandet av hörselgångsmätning var högre i VGR än vad resultat från tidigare studier har visat, däremot förekommer skillnader i användandet mellan olika audionommottagningar. Vissa resultat i detta arbete borde tolkas med försiktighet då utformningen av enkäten inte gav möjlighet till djupare statistiska analyser. | sv |
