Utbildning och ekonomisk tillväxt i Sub-Sahara

Education and economic growth in Sub-Sahara

Abstract
e purpose of our paper is to examine the connection between higher education and economic development measured in terms of GDP and GDP per capita. We have used regression analysis in our study to see any relationship between our variables. We have collected panel data for all countries in Sub-sahara, as we found this most beneficial to get as high precision as possible in our results. In our regressions, we have tested for our primary variable, which is higher education, but also included other variables that we believe may have an impact on GDP. We have used the solow model, which is a recognized model for measuring the impact of investment, work and technological advances in economic development. Our primary reason why we chose to do our essay in this subject is that we want to check if our results are the same as the previous author has come to or if we can come up with new facts and insights about higher education's impact on economic development.
