During the conference challenges regarding the traditional connection between Craft and Design in terms of material knowledge and skill was discussed. Is there still a value of learning to be a maker? What role will a design education play in the future when the traditional design industries changes. Are we educating students to be artists and researchers? How do national differences in governmental funding for the higher education in EU impact education?
