En varmare värld. En studie om klimatförändringarna vid den tidiga mesolitiska perioden i England och Doggerland

Abstract
The climate change that is currently threatening parts of the world's population and the planet's ecosystems is influenced by the global warming of our planet. This has led to significant research studies on the contemporary climate crisis. Looking at our prehistory, there have been major climate changes that affected prehistoric man. This paper focuses on the Early Mesolithic period around 10,000 BC in England aswell as on Doggerland, and the aim of the paper is to study the impact of climate change on hunter-gatherers from an archaeological perspective. The two theoretical and methodological frameworks of the paper are based on hermeneutics and the SM model, which bring essential aspects to the study of the Mesolithic period and hunter- gatherer societies. The results of the paper provide a clearer and more detailed overall picture of the course of climate change and how prehistoric people were affected by these changing environmental conditions, in England aswell as on Doggerland. The conclusion is that widespread climate change during the early Mesolithic period reshaped the living conditions of hunter-gatherers.
