Challenges of developing and introducing innovative products or services in Bangladesh, a country with a poverty problem
Abstract
Although people's living standards are getting better and better with the innovation of science and technology, poverty is still a common problem. Therefore, this thesis will focus on whether the country's poverty will affect the country's innovation. The researchers targeted Bangladesh, one of the poorest countries in the world. The researchers will introduce several conceptual frameworks related to innovation to analyze the innovation activities of poor countries, such as national innovation system and brain drain. The researchers will interview experienced managers in MNCs to obtain empirical data. For this, the researchers will focus on college students and professors and managers of MNCs. The researchers interviewed 10 respondents from Bangladesh, who belong to Bangladeshi universities and two of the most famous non-governmental organizations in Bangladesh. Respondents from colleges and universities are for researchers to better study the impact of brain drain on innovation in Bangladesh, while managers of non-governmental organizations are for researchers to analyze how MNCs face the innovation challenge caused by poverty from the perspective of MNCs.
