Abstract
In this essay, the aim is to better understand the dynamics that arise during teacher training
practice, focusing on the perceptions of the supervisors and the course teachers.
The starting point for our thematic analysis is semi-structured interviews with four course
teachers and four supervisors who are active in the teacher training practice.
The main themes in our interview questions are the respondents' experiences of prerequisites,
roles, relationships and assessment in connection with teacher training practice as well as the
entire interaction between students, supervisors and course teachers.
In our analysis, we found many more relevant aspects than we first thought we would. The
spontaneous responses highlighted issues related to the importance of communication and
social skills to meet the various demands made during the teacher training practice process. In
addition, the participants highlighted relationship skills and practical questions about
organization and time management.
