Brahms Horn Trio, Choice of Interpretation
Abstract
There are many ways to interpretate music, and sometimes it can be hard to know what you, as a musician will like the most. This is an important choice that every musician have to consider when they work on a piece of music, both if it is a new piece they have not studied before or if it is something they have played before. Some of the reasons I do this are that I want to make the music more personal for me when I play it, and at the same time I want the audience to enjoy it and understand what my ensemble want to express by it. I will work on the horn trio by Johannes Brahms in two different ways, the first time by playing the piece and the second time by listening to other recordings and reading. By doing this I will try to find the interpretation that I prefer, and see if it is anything like the first interpretation I did the first time.
