Förändringens förutsättningar och förhinder - En undersökning inifrån Folktandvården Västra Götaland

Abstract
Organizations today face an immense pressure to change and to facilitate change. This essay revolves around one such organization. In this case the Swedish Public Dental Service in Västra Götaland and in particular their effort to implement a new and more changeoriented leadership approach at the middle manager level. To better build this understanding a case study was conducted during the fall and spring of 20142015 in which six middle managers were interviewed on the subject of leading change within a professional organization. The study comes to the conclusions that in order for a change to be led in a professional organization, such as the Swedish Public Dental Service, a large focus needs to be put on the middle managers, their working conditions. their loyalties and their professional background. All factors that together can secure or hinder the prospect of a change oriented leadership approach.
