Abstract
This paper intends to examine how projects based on social innovation, where several organizations from different sectors interact with each other, works together. The essay focuses on projects that are to improve the integration of newly arrived people in society and is based on a case study in Skåne (southern Sweden) where organizations in the public and non-profit sectors work together in a project called: NAD (Nätverk-Aktivitet-Delaktighet). The purpose is to see which factors that promote and prevents collaboration between the organizations involved in the project and the study is based on interviews with ten of the members and extracts from the project plan. The analysis of the collected data shows that multiple connections can be made between the empirical and the selected theory, but views on whether the collaboration factors were considered as positive or negative is not always consistent between them. The conclusion is partly factors that are perceived as the most important, is the so-called soft skills, such as knowledge, commitment and the will to collaborate for social innovation projects.
