The purpose of this research is to use social networks to analyze the linguistic ideologies of Chileans. In order to carry out this investigation the present work used as corpus, comments that different users have left in relation to the dubbing of the Argentine soap opera Esperanza mía to the Chilean colloquial dialect. Through a qualitative study, the linguistic ideologies of Chilean participants were analyzed from comments taken from the social networks of Twitter and YouTube in relation to the dubbing. The analysis of the comments indicates that standardization was the ideology with more presence in the comments, followed by linguistic purism. However, other non-linguistic ideologies such as classism, nationalism and chauvinism have an important presence in the comments of the users.sv
