Sammanfattning
Las obras literarias suelen estar cargadas de expresiones idiomáticas propias de la
idiosincrasia de la cultura a la que pertenecen, las cuales imponen un reto a la hora
de ser traducidas a otros idiomas puesto que no siempre existe una equivalente en
la lengua meta. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar la traducción al idioma
sueco de expresiones idiomáticas y americanismos presentes en la novela Todos se
van (2006) de Wendy Guerra. Para cumplir este objetivo se identifican las
expresiones y americanismos con ayuda de los diccionarios de la lengua española y
luego se realiza una lectura comparativa entre el texto original Todos se van y su
traducción al sueco Alla ger sig av donde se comprueba si la traducción a la lengua
meta se corresponde con el significado y uso que se le da en el texto origen. Este
estudio arroja como resultado que las expresiones idiomáticas y americanismos
analizados no fueron identificados por la traductora como tales lo que conllevó a que
utilizara en su mayoria la traducción literal como técnica de traducción creando
pasajes difíciles de entender. Además de esto se observa que la traducción parcial,
con el uso de préstamos de la lengua origen y la paráfrasis es muy poco usada por
la traductora como solución a los vacíos semánticos en la lengua meta.

Literary works are often loaded with idiomatic expressions specific to the
idiosyncrasies of the culture to which they belong, which pose a challenge when
translated into other languages since there is not always an equivalent in the target
language. The aim of this paper is to analyse the translation into Swedish of idiomatic
expressions and Americanisms found in the novel Todos se van. In order to achieve
this objective, the expressions and Americanisms are identified with the help of
Spanish language dictionaries and then a comparative reading is made between the
original text Todos se van and its translation into Swedish Alla ger sig av where it is
checked whether the translation into the target language corresponds to the meaning
and use given in the original text. This study shows that the idiomatic expressions
and Americanisms analysed were not identified by the translator as such, which led
to her using only literal translation as a translation technique, creating passages that
were difficult to understand. In addition, it is observed that partial translation, with the
use of borrowings from the source language and paraphrasing, is rarely used by the
translator as a solution to semantic gaps in the target language.
